Jonathan Sklar is the Business Community Officer representing the greater Philadelphia region. In this role he supports women and minority businesses to help them take their next steps, whether its accessing capital or learning how to grow their businesses. His passion for the role came from his mother, a small business owner herself and seeing the challenges she faced made a commitment to supporting local business owners and organizations.
Prior to becoming the BCO, Jonathan was the Small Business Banking Manager overseeing the Pennsylvania/Delaware Markets. The market is comprised of Small Business Bankers in multiple states encompassing 10 specialists. The Small Business Channel supports Preferred, Consumer and Small Business clients. Jonathan’s team actively manages over 4,000 clients with sales over $1MM+.
Jonathan joined Bank of America in 2015 and has spent his last 9+ years in multiple roles with the firm. He began as a Relationship Manager, and held several promotions including, Small Business Consultant, Small Business Banker, Small Business Banking Manager. He is recognized in the financial services industry as a strategic leader with a proven history of leading high performing teams to achieve corporate goals and objectives both as an individual contributor and as a manager. His experience in driving performance results, developing talent and strategic vision has led to his growth in the region.
Jonathan was nominated for top rising talent in the local Philadelphia market, reserved for key market talent with bandwidth to grow. He was selected to and completed small business mastery- a credit Proficiency program through the bank.

Jonathan is a graduate of University of Delaware where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Marketing. He volunteers his time as a capital coach for mentoring inner city participants with advice on capital needs. Jonathan resides in the suburbs of PA with his wife Sarah and dog Lilly. They have a recent addition to the family, their first son, Logan. In his spare time, Jonathan likes to travel, play golf, and enjoy the outdoors.
